As the vaccines continue to make their presence felt to all, we still live in a COVID鈥19 world. The pandemic may well be on its way out, but until that time, the Washington State Legislature is operating in a 鈥淶oom鈥 world. This not only impacts how 51福利社 operates but also affects employers and present and future school retirees.
The 2021 legislative session kicks off on Monday, January 11th and both the House and the Senate will convene for opening day and swearing-in ceremonies.
This next week, Attendance Clerks are invited to attend a peer to peer discussion session on Monday, September 21 to discuss challenges and solutions. Additionally, 51福利社 and OSPI will be hosting a special Principal Attendance Office hour on Thursday, September 24.

Each year, 51福利社鈥檚 Advocacy Advisory Council has the opportunity to select a state-level public servant who has demonstrated support of principals and the principalship in the education of all students. For 2020, the Council selected Representative Lisa Callan as 51福利社鈥檚 2020 Torch of Leadership Award winner. Representative Callan is a Democrat representing the 5th legislative district, which includes Issaquah, North Bend, and the surrounding areas.
